Tachographs
 Tachographs are fitted to commercial motor vehicles to record the speed of the vehicle and also whether the vehicle is moving. Tachographs have been used successfully for many years now and have helped greatly with road safety and managing drivers hours.
Traditional analogue tachographs record the data on a waxed paper disc but in most instances are being replaced by digital tachographs which record data on smart cards. The digital tachograph has many benefits as it's much easier to transfer the tachograph data and also it's not vulnerable to tampering.
